Received the cover art this week from Pill Hill Press for the print edition of The Vampire Hunters. It's awesome. Thanks to Greg Smallwood (cover art) and Alva J. Roberts (cover design). The book is scheduled to be published as a trade paperback on 1 November. I'll provide more details as they become available.

Sunday Bunnies
Dear Bunny God, please let Daddy become a rich and famous author so he can stay home with me all day and write. I promise to be a good rabbit and not pester him for treats or chew on the wires to his laptop.

Book Trailer for Night of the Living Trekkies
Any one who is a zombie fan or a Trekkie (I'm both) has to check out the link below. This is one of the funniest book trailers I have ever seen. If I hadn't already bought the book, I would have gone to Amazon and bought it.

It's Been Another Busy Week
I just signed a contract today with Living Dead Press to have my short story "Is Anyone Out There?" published in their upcoming anthology E-Mail of the Dead. I'll provide more details as they become available.
And I was finally able to get back to revising the final draft of The Vampire Hunters: Dominion. I'm up to page 320; only 150 more to go.

I got the cover art for "Dead Water" and am very impressed. My thanks to Suzannah Safi of Book Trailer Design for the great work she put into the cover.
Once I have a definitive publication date for the chapbook, I'll let everyone know.

Good News Abounds
As promised, I have a lot of awesome news to catch everyone up on. Over the past few weeks, I have been involved in negotiations with a fellow author and several publishers on upcoming projects, several of which came together while I was on vacation.
To begin, I signed a contract this week with Pill Hill Press to publish The Vampire Hunters trilogy as a series of trade paperbacks. As of yet, no tentative dates or publication details have been established.
Several months ago, Keith Publications contacted me about submitting a work for a collection of horror-related short stories they intended to publish around Halloween as a series of electronic chapbooks. Last week, Keith Publications accepted my short story “Dead Water”, which tells the tale of a zombie outbreak aboard an oil rig in the Gulf (and you thought oil spills were a threat).
All these projects are still in the preliminary stage. Once details become available, I’ll let everyone know.
Naturally, I’m excited about these events. Amongst this, I am still finishing the final revision of The Vampire Hunters: Dominion, and am chomping at the bit to start the next novel and put down some short story ideas that have been brewing. The next few months promise to be busy – but I’m not complaining.

Back to the Grindhouse
Got back from Charlottesville late yesterday afternoon. Had a very relaxing four days, and got caught up on a lot of reading. I'll post some photos of my vacation later on Facebook.
For now, it's back to the real world. I have to finish up the final edits on The Vampire Hunters: Dominion for Shadowfire Press, plus have a dozen other projects I'm working on. And I'll have some awesome news to post in the coming days.

Am Taking Some Much-Needed Time Off
I'm taking advantage of the Labor Day Weekend to relax and take some desperately-needed time off. That includes putting aside the writing and the blogging for several days. And no Sunday Bunnies this weekend. I have several novels all lined up to read and a bunch of videos (mostly horror and sci-fi) to watch -- all accompanied by cigars, of course. I'll be back at the keyboard on Wednesday the 8th.
When I get back I will have some wicked awesome news to share with everyone, so please check back next week.
Happy Labor Day to all my fans. And to all my friends in the Boston area, enjoy Earl.
