Ruby, the white rabbit, celebrates her eighth year with us today. She was our first rabbit and is the grand dame of the house. When I first brought her home, she was a tiny little kit who spent the first night in our bathtub thumping her displeasure. The next day we bought her a cage and set her up in the living room. She has ruled the house with an iron paw ever since, kept the other five rabbits in line, and brought immeasurable happiness to our home.
