Shock Till You Drop carried an editorial by Amie Harwicke debunking the notion that the horror genre is responsible for the horrendous crimes committed by people today, most recently the stabbing of an adolescent by two twelve-year-old girls in Wisconsin. Weird Tales listed The 15 Most Entertaining Horror Films from the 1980s. While I agree with most of their choices, I can't believe they didn't include John Carpenter's The Thing or An American Werewolf in London, though, in their defense, they do admit that these films are from the early 80s and are considered carry-overs from the 1970s.
